As an instructor, we'll work directly with you to get you installed and ready to use before your classes begin - all free of charge. Once classes begin and you direct your students to use ActiveClass, they will pass through an easy payment portal. Once paid, they will have access to the tool and a more inclusive and engaging social experience for the rest of the semester!

We totally get it! Not all students can pay the $20 fee. That's why when you get started with ActiveClass we'll provide you with up to 5 free scholarship codes to pass along to the students who need it. Additionally, we are working on accommodating bursar dollars and even financial aid dollars through your bookstores.

If a student has paid to have access to ActiveClass and ultimately drops the course they can submit a request for a refund, no questions asked – as long as they dropped the course prior to your institutions deadline.

In this scenario, there is no cost to the students. We'd work with you and the Department Chairs, LMS Admins, Course Designers, CIOs, CTOs, (whoever we need to), in order to work through a traditional top-down purchase plan. This, however, can be a lengthy process, which is why a lot of our instructors start with the course fee model first before we start to have larger discussions.

Additionally, with the plan, ActiveClass will be able to provide more holistic usage data and engagement metrics across an entire department or institution.

Of course! Many of our partner institutions get started with Course Fee in order to start getting value right away. After a few semesters and as more instructors start to use ActiveClass it can make sense to convert the department or institution to an annualized subscription. Just let us know!
